Senior School Open Evening

"There's more in you than you think" (Kurt Hahn) is central to our ethos and the focus of our next open event.

Current, prospective and Junior School students and their families are welcome to join us in the Senior School for our Co-Curricular Open Evening on 6th March (5.30-7.30pm), where you can experience the diversity of our programme for yourselves.

The evening is an opportunity for prospective students to enjoy shared interests and broaden their horizons. Many of our 50+ different Senior School clubs from the Spring term’s co-curricular programme will be running through the course of the evening, ranging from the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) to Duke of Edinburgh (DofE), cookery to photography, quizzes to business, Minecraft to archives, Warhammer to social action, languages, maths, drama and music; as well as a huge variety of sport - both inclusive and competitive.

With so many opportunities within our school, you can enjoy shared interests, broaden your horizons or try something new and discover your passion. You can challenge yourself and push your boundaries - join us to see just how much you have within.

National Award for Book Review

Our library creative writing competition has produced a winner in a national award

Ashwin (Year 8) has won the Portico Sadie Massey Award for his review of Animal Farm which was submitted to the annual creative writing and book review competition helped by The Portico Library in Manchester.

Lynne Allan, Chair of The Portico Library commented, “His review was extremely impressive and with 108 entries received this year, we hope Ashwin will be very proud of this achievement.”
