The Show Must Go On! Drama's Lockdown Legend Challenge

The phrase ‘The Show Must Go On’ has long been a well-loved saying in the drama world. It suggest that no matter what gets thrown at us we won’t stop in our track.  This phrase now rings true more than ever. As such the Drama department has launched The Lockdown Legend Challenge. A platform that challenges you to #BeALockdownLegend and to #LiveYourBestLockdown through taken on the many different creative challenges we share.

Originally launched during the Easter break to beat boredom during these strange times, the challenges ask pupils of all ages to put their creative skills to the test as they are encouraged to write, draw, make, bake, play, the list goes on and on. Recently pupils have been challenged further and ask to create their own tasks. Check out the complete list below;

Challenge 1: Puppet Maker - Make your own puppet from items found in your home.

Challenge 2: 500 word Challenge - Write a story in 500 words or less.

Challenge 3: Music Makers - Make your own musical instrument from items found in your home.

Challenge 4: Postcard To Me - Write a postcard to your future self all about what’s happening right now. Draw a picture on the front of the first place you want to travel to once things go back to normal.

Challenge 5:The Easter Musical Theatre Challenge - Correctly guess all 30 musicals represented in the picture.

Challenge 6: Be a Baker - Bake something delicious.

Challenge 7: Create a Joy Jar - Fill an empty jar with ideas of activities and people you want to see once things go back to normal.

Challenge 8: Caption It - Add a funny caption to a picture of you performing on stage.

Challenge 9: Ranting Ranting Ranting - Write a rant about something you love/hate. Continuously write for 3 minutes - Don’t take your pen off the page.

Challenge 10: Acts of Kindness - Share a random act of Kindness with someone else.

Challenge 11:Quarentine Journal - Create a journal where you draw, doodle, list and write all that you’re getting up to at the moment.

Challenge 12: Lockdown Playlist - Create a music playlist that sums up your lockdown.

Challenge 13: Learn to Knit - Learn to knit. Not got the correct equipment – think creatively.

Keep an eye out on all social media platforms as Miss Worthington and Mrs Marland prepare to launch The Lockdown Legend Mega Musical Monologue Challenge.
