Congratulations to Miranda upon joining the prestigious Hallé Youth Choir

Fantastic news this term for one of our exceptional young musicians, Miranda in Year 11. Miranda has been selected from applicants across the country to join the prestigious Hallé Youth Choir.

Established in 2003, the Hallé Youth Choir is recognised as one of the country’s leading mixed-voice youth choirs. Rehearsing on Sunday afternoons during term-time, membership is for talented young singers, aged 13-19 years, across the North West region. As well as appearing with the Hallé and a variety of other ensembles, the Youth Choir also performs independently. Each summer, members enjoy a residential course and tour with visits in recent years to Italy, Dublin, Belgium, Scotland, Paris and London.

Miranda has been a featured performer in many AKS concerts and productions, including her recent role as Alice Beineke in 'The Addams Family', where her powerful operatic vocals stunned audiences each night. A member of the Senior Choir, Chamber Choir and a regular soloist,

Miranda is a hardworking and committed musician and the Performing Arts Department is very proud of this well-deserved achievement
