The Junior School opens at 8am, allowing pupils to come into a central area where they are supervised by a member of staff. From 8.30am pupils may proceed to their classrooms, where they undertake planned activities.
The Junior School day is structured into lessons interspersed with breaks, which allow time for a snack, and an opportunity to socialise and join in with clubs and activities. In the Junior Department, Year 3 to Year 6, the timings of the day are set with specific lesson lengths, whereas in the Infant Department the lesson times are longer, allowing teachers to vary the length and type of activity according to the needs of the pupils.
At the end of the day, parents are asked wait for their children on the playground. Teachers will escort pupils to the door and ensure that they are collected by the appropriate person. After school care is available until 6pm each day, at an additional charge.
There are also after school clubs for pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. A list of these will be sent out at the start of each term, and it is expected that once a child signs up to a club, they will attend on a weekly basis.
