Parents' and Teachers' Association
The AKS Parents' and Teachers' Association is a group of parents and teachers who organise events to promote friendship within the school community and to raise funds for our school. We have a lot of fun organising the events and even more fun attending them.
These occasions are enjoyed by parents and pupils from all sections of the school - from nursery right through to the Sixth Form. The programme includes parties for younger children, Christmas Fair and School Balls etc. Read our last newsletter to find out more: November 2019 PTA Newsletter. Volunteers are very welcome. COVID-19 Update
In-person social events are currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we are exploring options for virtual events and will update parents shortly.
NEW! Easyfundraising
Our PTA have registered with easyfundraising, which means over 4,000 shops and sites will now donate to us for FREE every time you use easyfundraising to shop with them. These donations will help raise funds for our school so please do sign up to support us – it’s completely FREE and doesn’t take long.

New to You Sale
Based on the success of our no-contact New to You Sales that took place earlier in the year, we will run a fourth no-contact sale on Thursday 22nd April. Please note:
- Although we have removed items from the second-hand store which are not fit for resale, the uniform has been worn and we cannot exchange items;
- If you are unsure of sizes, please include measurements of your child;
- Our New to You store does not have all items listed in stock and that items vary according to recent donations.
Buying Uniform
Please email your completed order form (using the editable Word version below) to pta@akslytham.com by midday on Thursday 22nd April. Items will be ready for collection and payment (cash or cheque only please) at the school shop on the following Monday. If an item is not in stock, we will let you know.
