Remote IT Access
Remote access to both school email and desktops is available for all pupils and staff, and we provide Microsoft Office free of charge for work at home.
E-mail is hosted on Office365 and can be accessed through the majority of web browsers at https://outlook.office365.com/ - you will need your school email address and password to log in.
OneDrive/Teams/Office Online can be found by either logging in to your email and clicking the "waffle" at the top left, or going to https://www.office.com/
Microsoft Office Applications are available free of charge to all pupils and staff for as long as they are at AKS. Log in with your school email address and password at https://portal.office.com/ and go to the Install Software section. Installers are available for both Windows and Apple computers, and you may install on up to 5 devices.
We recommend that Sophos Home is used to protect any non-school devices, it is available free of charge at https://www.sophos.com/en-us/lp/sophos-home.aspx

Staff Booking System is available at https://manage.akslytham.com/
Remote Desktop is being phased out but remains available for staff access to the pupil drives, and for pupil access. You do not need to go via remote desktop to access any cloud services such as your onedrive, email, iSAMS etc.
From Windows, visit https://remote.akslytham.com/ and log in with your school email address and password, then click the link to access AKS. You may be prompted to install/allow the Remote Desktop plugin for this to work. Instructions can be found here.
From Apple devices, you will need to install the Microsoft Remote Desktop App from the App store. Instructions for this can be found here.
