36 AKS children took part in a “Primary Art Celebration” as part of the Lytham Heritage Art Exhibition between the 6th and the 25th of February 2024.

The Exhibition was a celebration of creativity and AKS were chosen as group winners.

In addition to sharing the overall first prize for "Best School" at the exhibition, talented pupils Carter and Myla received first prize in their respective year groups! Carter in Year 3 was awarded first prize for his year group for his beautiful Gustav Klimt self-portrait and Myla in Year 4 won first prize for her imaginative Arcimboldo inspired picture.

There were also two highly commended awards presented to Scarlett in Year 2 for her colourful Beach Hut and Daniel in Year 3 for his atmospheric pastel drawing of a volcano.

The winning children and staff enjoyed an exciting awards ceremony on Tuesday 20th February and got the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Lytham, Councillor Cheryl Little wearing her impressive golden Civic regalia.
